What is Asperger's Syndrome?

"People with Asperger's Syndrome perceive the world differently from everyone else." (Tony Attwood)

"Some people call autism a 'diffability'." (Wendy Lawson)

Asperger's Syndrome (AS) is a condition on the autistic spectrum. People with AS may have problems with communication, socialisation and imagination. Individuals may find difficulties in using language; making and sustaining friendships; and being flexible. People with AS may also be very intelligent and are able to concentrate and focus on a subject, achieving a high level of skill in their area of interest.

There is a lot of information on Asperger syndrome on the internet. Try some our links to other web pages and groups. For more information on Asperger syndrome contact Sara or Eric Heath at autonomyshropshire@yahoo.co.uk
